Ancient sculpture "Giuliano Medici". Made of patinated bronze. There are markings from the manufacturers of the model - "Susse Frères" workshop. France, XIX century.

This work reproduces the monumental marble sculpture created between 1520 and 1534 by Michelangelo for the tomb of Julien Medici, Duke of Nemours, visible in the new sacristy of the Church of San Lorenzo in Florence. A very beautiful sculpture in chiseled bronze with a patina, depicting Julien de Medici, Duke of Nemours, sitting and dressed in antique clothes, holding a rod, a symbol of power. This is an idealized heroic image, designed to testify to Julien Medici's masculinity as opposed to the melancholic image of his older brother, Lorenzo Medici.
