Roger Astruc was born in Corney la Riviere in southern France. He spent his childhood and youth in Paris, where he received his education. For a long time he was engaged in industrial design at Aerospace and was involved in the creation of advertising companies related to aviation and space. In 1946-47, he went on creative leave and returned to work only in 1948, becoming one of the main organizers of the Salon d'Art in Catalonia and in Paris.
