Antique sculpture "Soldier of the First World War"
Antique sculpture "Soldier of the First World War" is made of patinated spenter.
The base of the sculpture is signed by the author - H. Fugère. Henri Fougeres (1872-1944) studied sculpture at the School of Fine Arts in Paris. He was a student of Denis Puech and Louis-Ernest Barrias. Fougeres specialized in bronzes and was one of the first sculptors in the Art Deco era. Beginning in 1893, Fougeres was regularly exhibited at the salons of the Société des Artistes Français. He was later elected Vice-Chairman of the Société des Artistes Français.
