He received his artistic education under the guidance of his father, the famous sculptor-animal painter Clovy Edmond Masson. Since 1890 he regularly exhibited his works at the Paris Salon. Like his father, he specialized in animal compositions and hunting subjects. The sculptor made his models at the best bronze foundries in Paris, including the foundry of Max Le Verrier. Masson's sculptural co-compositions can be found in many museums and private collections.
