Georges Lucien Vacossen (1870-1942) - French animal sculptor. He was educated at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris. Known for his works, mainly on the theme of animals. He participated in the Salon des Artistes Français from 1902 to 1937. He was awarded medals and distinctive certificates for his sculptures. Many of his works were made at the Thiebaut Freres foundry.
