Antique fireplace griffins fireplace bar
Antique neoclassical fireplace barrier. Bronze, patina. France, 1820-1830s
The barrier is decorated with two griffins located at the ends of the fireplace decoration. Both creatures are located on pedestals decorated with gilded bronze in the form of attributes of the god Hermes, the messenger of the gods: Caduceus and a winged helmet.
