The obelisk is a quadrangular pillar that tapers upwards.Ancient Egyptian obelisks were usually located in pairs in front of the gates of the temples. Each side of the obelisk was covered with inscriptions with prayers, appeals to the higher powers, and basically symbolized the worship of the sun god - Ra. At present, they can serve as an integral part of the interior and decoration.
