Levretka is the smallest dog from the greyhound group. As an ornamental breed, it was the first dog to appear in Europe during the Roman conquests. Levrettes were often kept in aristocratic houses during the Renaissance, and they can often be found on the canvases of great artists of that time.  There is a legend that the Prussian King Frederick the Great hid under the bridge with his left-handed wife when enemy troops marched along it during the Seven Years' War. And the dog didn't make a sound, thereby saving his master's life.
