Antique vessel in the shape of a cicada
Ancient ritual vessel in the shape of a cicada with folded wings. Made of bronze and covered with patina. Rare vessel shape and good preservation. The ornament on the vase echoes the theme of a museum-grade vase, an artifact from the Western Zhou period (1046-771 BC) found in the Fangshan area near the Liulihe River. The sample also depicted a cicada - a symbol of eternal life and prosperity. China, XX century.
