Menelaus is the great king of Sparta and the husband of one of the most beautiful women in the world, Helen of Troy. His name is inextricably linked with one of the most famous myths of ancient Greece - the myth of the Trojan War. Menelaus was one of the main heroes of this war, because it was because of the abduction of Helen by the Trojan Paris that a long-term clash between Greek and Trojan troops began.
