Satsuma workshops are among the most significant and valuable in the world arena, the porcelain of the same name received its name from the area in the southern part of the island of Kyushu. Initially, Korean craftsmen worked with local porcelain (around the middle of the 16th century) and, starting in 1790, porcelain was so improved that it became an enterprise, the best of its kind in terms of quality and aesthetics of products.
