A vintage trunk from the Franz Dempich factory. The body is wooden and upholstered, the frame is further reinforced with wooden strips. The interior is upholstered in the original fabric. The exterior has a Franz Dempich nameplate. In excellent condition. Harbin, 1940s.In the early to mid-20th century, Franz Dempich owned a well-known Polish luggage and suitcase factory (Polska Fabryka Kufrów) in the historic Chinese émigré district of Harbin. The workshop, located on Novogorodnaya Street (see the address on the nameplate), produced high-quality travel suitcases, leather trunks, and storage cases.
