Antique pair of chandeliers for 5 candles in the style of Louis XV. Dresden, Germany, XX century.

The chandeliers are made of high quality porcelain and are in good condition. Decorated with putti figures in the bases, stucco buds and flowers. The entire body of the candelabra is painted with gilding. There is a mark of the Dresden manufactory.

The city of Dresden during the late 19th century and throughout the 20th century it was an important center for the production of high-quality porcelain, sculpture and homeware in the Rococo style. The history of Dresden porcelain is directly related to the history of the nearby city of Meissen, which was the first in Europe to start producing porcelain dough. The masters managed to find the secret of "white gold", thereby glorifying their city to the whole world. Many of the works of the Dresden manufactory were made in the Rococo style, with a characteristic floral decoration.
