The factory "Hutschenreuther", whose products were called "porcelain under the banner of the lion", was founded in 1814. Twenty-year-old porcelain artist Carolus Magnus Hutschenreuther laid the foundation for the first private porcelain workshop in north-eastern Bavaria.
