Vintage "Spaniel" sculpture. Made of porcelain with underglaze painting. Marked "Beswick." England, second half of the 20th century.Beswick was a porcelain and ceramics company founded around 1890 in Longton (now a district of Stoke-on-Trent). In 1960, the company was acquired by Doulton & Co, and Beswick became a brand name until the former company ceased production in 2011. Beswick products are sought after by collectors for their masterfully crafted animal replicas.
