An antique sculpture of a samurai with a bow. Made of bronze. The warrior is dressed in a kimono and a cuirass. His arms and legs are protected by bracers and greaves. The kimono is decorated with images of kamon, the family crests of Japan. On the reverse side of the work, there is a name mark "Yoshimitsu". The statue is placed on a wooden pedestal decorated with painted floral motifs. Japan, late 19th century.

Yoshimitsu Ho was a Tokyo-based artist of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His works can be found at international auctions and in art galleries dedicated to the Meiji era (1868-1912).
