Antique sculpture titled "Warrior," crafted from bronze. The statuette is mounted on a carved, lacquered wooden base. It bears the signature of the artist Miyao Eisuke within a rectangular gilt cartouche on the back: "宫尾" (Miyao). Japan, Meiji period, early 20th century.

The Miyao workshop, founded and led by Miyao Eisuke, operated in Yokohama from the mid-19th century. In 1890, the workshop opened a branch in Tokyo. Until the 1920s, it remained one of Japan's leading centers for artistic metalwork, and the pieces created there were in high demand both domestically and on the international market.
