These bodhisattvas are among the most revered saints in the Buddhist tradition. Manjushri symbolizes profound wisdom and enlightenment. Translated from Sanskrit, his name means "Lord of Wisdom." This bodhisattva is usually depicted with a sword, which cuts through illusions and ignorance, and in his other hand, he holds books or scrolls, symbolizing knowledge and spiritual wisdom. Samantabhadri is the bodhisattva of compassion and mercy. Her name can be translated as "Lady of Paradise," and she is considered the expression of boundless love and compassion for all living beings. She is often depicted holding a rose, associated with help and protection. Her purpose is not only compassion but also the desire to help every being achieve enlightenment.
