Sculptor Nikolai Vasilyevich Tomsky is the author of an extensive Leniniana. Tomsky began creating his first sculptures of Lenin in 1925. His first memorable work was "Lenin as a Child." In addition to its deviation from the general monumental and mournful course of Leniniana in the second half of the 1920s, Tomsky's portrait of Lenin as a child also stands out for its artistic qualities. Tomsky's sculptural portraits also display a strong signature element, expressed in the somewhat "cubist" interpretation of the head (and sometimes even the hairstyle).
