Sculptor Anton Ivanov was born in 1968 in Grozny. He graduated from the V. I. Mukhina Leningrad Higher School of Industrial Art in 1993. A significant portion of his sculptural works were created in collaboration with V. B. Bukhaev and M. Sh. Tskhadadze.
Among the artist's most famous works, installed in St. Petersburg, are the monument to A. A. Akhmatova in the garden near the Fountain House, the monument to P. F. Lesgaft near the main building of the State Academy of Physical Culture, as well as the memorial plaque in honor of P. I. Bagration on Bolshaya Morskaya Street, and other works.
In 2005, Anton Ivanov participated in the reconstruction of the bronze sculpture "Amazon Fighting a Leopard" by A. Kiss. Today, the work is on display at the Tsaritsyn Island exhibition in Peterhof. In addition to monumental and memorial sculpture, A.V. Ivanov has created sculptural objects for film sets.
