Antique vase "Pink Pompadour", Sevres
Antique vase - aromatizer of the Sèvres porcelain manufactory (see brand) with a lid topped with a gilded pine cone; shade - "complex pink" or as it is officially called - "Pink Pompadour", a color that was created in 1757 thanks to the influence of Jeanne Antoinette Poisson, known as the Marquise de Pompadour in world history. The incense burner is made of glazed porcelain in the Rococo style. Hand-painted in the form of a bouquet of flowers framed by a gold-painted garland with a rocaille at the top. The vase rests on a foot located on a square base. Especially for the marquise, the chemist Jacques Hello created a pink shade in 1757, since the marquise was very fond of pink, and such products later became the hallmark of France. The Marchioness was a very powerful woman with a love of beauty, sophistication and political affairs. She was an example for Europe of her era, so to speak, of how to live, and set the tone for many cultural sectors.
