Antique grandfather clock
Stunningly preserved antique grandfather clock with an eight-day operation of the battle. Decorated in the characteristic style of Louis Philippe using the marquetry technique. The watch is made of oak, with a bronze frame and an enameled white disc. The work is signed: Gustav Becker, Freiburg Schl. (Silesia). Europe, XX century.
The work features the emblem of Gustav Becker with G and B imprints on each side of the crowned anchor. Gustav Becker (1819-1885) founded a watch factory in Prussia. Subsequently, his factory moved to Switzerland. There is also a stamp at work: "Medaille d'Or", "P95" and serial number "C 2243714". Also engraved: "Rep. G Næss 1/95" (January 1995). At the top of the crown of the watch is the signature: L Mayer SA. The abundance of signatures, stamps and emblems speaks of the high antique value of the product.
The work of the clock follows the rhythm of the famous Big Ben: "Westminster Gong".
