A geisha is a unique part of the traditional Japanese pastime. A beautiful well-groomed girl, dressed in a kimono, is in charge of entertaining customers through dancing, singing, conducting a tea ceremony and talking on a variety of topics. Traditionally, geisha from an early age are trained in geisha houses - okiya, where students help the elders and learn numerous crafts and arts. Geisha can also be hired for joint visits to the theater, walks and going to a restaurant. The highest paid geisha of all time, Mineko Iwasaki, has entertained famous people such as Gerald Ford, Prince Charles, Elizabeth II, Gucci at events.
