Gama Sennin in Japan is a toad. Sennin (sage) - in Japanese mythology, a Taoist who achieved immortality; the very definition was borrowed from China, from alchemy, which dates back to the 10th century. They are mountain hermits who had a human appearance, mastered magic, and knew the structure of the world. Sennin was popularly known as a healer and medicine seller. More often you can see a toad with him, who told him the secret of gaining eternal life when, as a result of long practices, he began to understand the language of animals.
