Antique tea set for three. Made of porcelain. There is a mark of the Kutani workshops. Japan, 20th century.
Kutani is one of the three main and most famous trends of Japanese artistic porcelain/ceramics. The workshops are located in the Ishikawa prefecture, mainly in the Kutani region, the literal translation is "nine valleys".
Numerous workshops located near the city of Kaga worked with porcelain so masterfully that they became a household name for all Japanese porcelain. Kutani ceramics were presented at world exhibitions in Vienna and Paris and had a truly great significance for the entire world of ceramics.
