Antique sculpture "Takarabune" is a treasure ship. The work is made of metal with silvering and gilding, on a wooden pedestal. There is a glass hood to protect against dust. Japan, the end of the twentieth century.

Takarabune literally translates as "treasure ship", a ship on which seven Chinese wise men from a bamboo grove sailed to the Land of the Rising Sun in the 15th century. On New Year's Eve, the magical treasure ship Takarabune entered the port and landed the seven gods of happiness near Kyoto. The seven gods are ready to give happiness to anyone, there is a belief that if the image of takarabune is placed under a pillow on New Year's Eve, then next year will be successful.
