The history of the Wallendorf porcelain factory begins in 1764, when it was founded in Thuringia, Saxony.  It was the heyday of the porcelain industry in Europe, when the demand for high-quality porcelain reached its peak. The factory was founded by Johann Wolfgang Hammann, who managed to assemble an excellent team of artisans and artists.
