Nikolai Antsiferov received his professional education in the sculpture department of the Ilya Repin Leningrad Institute of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture—now the Ilya Repin St. Petersburg Academy of Arts. His mentor was the outstanding Soviet sculptor Mikhail Anikushin, People's Artist of the USSR and Hero of Socialist Labor. In 1971, Antsiferov completed his studies, receiving the qualification of artist-sculptor. He has created a number of monuments in St. Petersburg, Moscow and the Moscow region, Ulyanovsk, Kaluga, and other cities.An important stage in Antsiferov's creative biography was his work on recreating lost elements of historical works, which he has been engaged in since 2001. Nikolai Antsiferov's works are represented in museum collections, including the State Museum of Urban Sculpture in St. Petersburg.
