James Wright Beswick was founded in the UK in 1890. Five years later, the brand became recognizable and found its niche: the creation of figurines of animals and birds. In the 1960s, the company was sold to the Doulton manufactory. Until this period, the products were labeled "Beswick", and after - various variations using the name of the new owner "Doulton & Co". The company closed production in 2011.
